how to create posts, write replies, and use formatting.
posting is the core activity on the site. here's how it works.
creating a post
use the create button in the header or navigate to a sub and use its post button. posts belong to a specific sub, you choose which one when you create the post. give it a clear title; that's what people see in the feed.
drafts
posts are auto-saved as drafts while you write. you can access your drafts from the user menu. drafts are only visible to you until you publish.
replying
click the reply button under any post or reply to respond. replies are threaded, so conversations stay organized. you can reply to a reply to keep a sub-discussion going within a thread.
voting
upvote content that adds to the conversation; downvote content that detracts. votes affect karma and influence how content is sorted. don't use downvotes just because you disagree. use them for content that doesn't belong.
